My reading phase goes on and off sometimes. And I don't know what inspires me to read again. Like now.

I've been so excited to watch Perks of Being a Wallflower ever since I saw the trailer and what not mostly because Emma Watson is starring in it... and she's my idol :) I heard it was based off a book and according to Jenn Im (clothesencounters), it's an easy read. So what did I do? I decided I wanted to read the book before I watch the movie. That has only successfully happened for a few movies: Harry Potter 1-4 (because I stopped reading half way through the 5th one. I was a lazy kid), Series of Unfortunate Events, Tuck Everlasting and Hunger Games.... I think that's it.

At Chapters, there were two different copies of Perks of Being a Wallflower. The first one was the picture from the movie with the three actors on there, which I immediately knew I did not want. I don't know why, but I don't like seeing the actors and actresses from the movie on the cover of the books. Maybe it's because it becomes more commercialized? The second copy was the original cover I believe BUT has a little note saying either "A MAJOR MOTION PICTURE - IN THEATRES SEPTEMBER 2012" or "Soon to be a major motion picture starring Logan Lerman and Emma Watson". No, I could not find a copy that did not mention the movie at all. I just settled for the one that had the actors names on it since it wasn't written in capitals. And then I finished the book within the next day. I really liked it! It was an easy read and the book isn't very thick to begin with. It was really easy for me to get into the story as well as the characters. It's meant to be a book that's about growing up in high school... However, my high school experience was nothing like it and completely innocent compared to it. So it didn't really "bring me back to the old high school days" or anything, but I still loved it nonetheless! Charlie makes me want to make my own mixtapes (or I guess share my own 'playlists') and write letters to people with my non existent typewriter! (Handwritten ones will have to do) And he also made me want to read more because he read so many books throughout the story! The books that were mention are books in real life too

And looking at reviews (because I always want to know other people's thoughts after reading a book), I ended up finding a site called Good Reads, which is like a social network about books! I'll probably end up joining to find other books I might want to read for the future. So far I've just been discovering books/ authors through people's vlogs/blogs that I follow like Chrissstttiiine (no shocker there) and Jenn Im.

I already have a reading list/ books I already bought impulsively at a used book store... lulz

  • Diary by Chuck Palahnuik (Currently reading)
  • 1Q84 by Murakami -I've actually had this book for over a year now, but never got around to reading it. It's because I mostly read when I'm on the go and it's a really big book. But then I recently exchanged it for the version that's split into three separate books. I know. The massive version was pretty, but the split up version is just more practical for me.
  • Choke by Chuck Palahnuik
  • Lullaby by Chuck Palahnuik
  • Damned by Chuck Palahnuik
  • To Kill A Mocking Bird by Harper Lee - I never read this one in High School
So yes. A lot of Chuck Palahnuik. I'm pretty much set for reading for the next couple of months! I also still need to finish off the Hunger Games series (I stopped in the middle of the second one) and I MIGHT read Fifty Shades of Grey... mostly because of the hype. I didn't find the first book in the used book store and I kinda refuse to pay over $20 on a book I might not even like at Chapters.

...I sound like the biggest book nerd now. Haha. I don't know if I would ever call myself one because I've never been very consistent with reading... but that's also because I tend to stop when I get caught up with something else school related. But I'm done school now so more reading time yayyy.

I'm very excited to watch Perks Of Being A Wallflower very soon. I'm lending the book to Bryan because I think he'll like it a lot.

Until next time... whenever that is.

This is hands down the most beautiful song in the world.

the way we groove.

Friday, June 29, 2012

I hate the songs on the radio. It's such a pain to find something nice to listen to when I'm in the car. Occasionally there are good songs I like, but most of the time they get ruined because they are overplayed or remixed into crap. Mainstream music *sigh*
Songs like Kiss You Inside Out by Hedley really make me shake my head, ESPECIALLY that song. Oh my goodness. I was with Bryan the first time I heard it and this was my thought process...

Okay, not my taste but it's upbeat.
"Turn off the lights. Take off your clothes."
Whoa. Talk about straight forward, but okay.
"Give up the fight. I'm in control. Why don't you let it go."
Ummm... Rape?
"I wanna know you inside out. I'll spend my life trying to figure out."
Oh... I guess it is about love then.
"Just close your eyes and shut your mouth."
What the fuck???? Nevermind.

Worst lyrics I've ever heard. I couldn't tell if it was supposed to be a romantic song because every "sweet" lyric was shortly followed with some abusive phrase.
That's my opinion about that song anyway.

Moving on, one of Bryan's friends recommended him to listen this radio station that we've never heard of before. So we both listened to it for the first time sometime last week and we fell in love.
It's called G98.7 The Way We Groove.
I think in general they play good music throughout the day, but we've been tuning in mostly during their Steps After Dark program from 10 - 1am. A part of me being so drawn at first may have been the host's sexy man voice (Bryan admits it too), but I love the old school R&B/Soul music they play! The first song we heard was Groove With You by The Isley Brothers and we were like, "Wow. This is where the REAL music at." It may be interpreted into same intention as the Hedley song, however, it is sung with sincerity, respect, and LOVE. Plus, the music just sounds better anyway! I've been making great use of my Shazam app and downloading so many songs I hear from this station. Some other favourites are Pretty Wings by Maxwell, and Pray for Me by Anthony Hamilton.

I feel like the best songs are timeless. No matter what year you listen to them to, they'll never be too old. I find that's what happens a lot with mainstream music anyway. They turn into trends and trends get old.

Until next time.

Day Twenty Seven.
Talk about your siblings.

I have three older ones.

Caryl. (Aka. Kay)
My one and only sisterrrr. Also, the oldest. Does not live in my house anymore. I might have an idea as to why she decided to move out a few years ago, but I am extremely jealous now. I don't see her that often so I do miss her at times. She's silly like me, except she's louder. We have the same interests and everything. I think we look a lil bit alike. Enough to see that we are related. We are both planning to get bird tattoos together! Yayyyy.... and not so yayyyyy. I'm scared of the pain x_X

Adriane. (Aka. Shingo)
Oldest brother. I call him Kuya. Still lives at home. Artsy like me. Likes comic book stuff like Spiderman. His birthday is today. Happy Birthday Kuya!! I remember always giving him a random book mark for his birthday every year when I was in elementary because his birthday was always when we had the Book Fair and I would buy him a book mark. I wonder if he still has them. Probably not.

Vernonn. (Aka. Tefen)
Older brother. I don't call him Kuya. Most people I knew from high school thought he was my only sibling. Spent the most time with him growing up because we were only a year apart. We play extremely long matches in Pokemon Puzzle League. Our longest was like 21 minutes I believe.

Day Twenty Six.
Your religious beliefs.

I was raised as a Christian within my family. But being grown up and thinking for myself now... I'm not a very religious person. Maybe it's because there was a point in my life where I was pretty much forced to participate in youth group and choir at my Church when I didn't want to because my parents probably thought I was becoming corrupted or something in high school. That, I really did not appreciate and thought was hypocritical even. I guess that was when I separated myself from the idea of being a part of a religion.

I still do believe in and appreciate God, but I don't think it is necessary for myself to attend Church, especially when I don't even want to go.

  3. Sensitive to my feelings
  4. Sense of Humour
  5. Will listen to my music
  6. Appreciates me as a dancer. (NOT because I'm physically flexible, but because it's my art.)
  7. Likes taking silly photos with me
  8. Tries to surprise or impress me with really simple things every once in a while.

Things you want to say to 5 different people.

  1. I know that you lie a lot, but I still think you're a good person and a good friend. Thank you for being there for me.
  2. Hate to say I told you so. Well, maybe I don't hate it because you were a two faced leech anyway. Lulz.
  3. I hate how you're trying to control my career already. Let me be responsible for my own success. It's more rewarding for me that way anyway.
  4. I know you're keeping track of me and have been for years. Aren't you happy now? What do you want?
  5. If you really want forgiveness, then really think about what you did wrong before apologizing. "Sorry for everything" doesn't mean you understand the pain you inflicted. In case you forgot, you'll need to go through me first.

Day Twenty Three.
Something you always think "what if..." about.

What if I didn't move when I was 8.

I had a lot of friends in my first elementary school and most of the kids were really nice from what I remember. There were a few I always stuck with. I remember Doris and Shawn the most. Always us three. But then I moved and had to go to a different school (which I hated because people were so mean) and we lost contact. At the time, we weren't really old enough to have emails or msn so we weren't able to keep in touch.

So what if I didn't have to move? I would've gone to a completely different high school and then everything would be different! Different people. Different memories. I probably would not have met even a quarter of the people I know now from Joes. I don't think there would've been any way that I would meet Bryan. Would have I still fallen in love with someone else or not at all? Would I still be friends with Doris and Shawn?

A part of me really wants to be friends with them again, even though they can be completely different people now. It's been what like 14 years? Crazy. It's so weird how I feel like I'll always miss them.

10 things about you that people don't really expect.

  1. That I am only one ethnicity. A lot of people think I'm mixed when they first meet me.
  2. I can become a bitch when it's necessary. It surprises people because I'm polite most of the time.
  3. When someone I'm close to is thinking of doing something stupid, I will be very straight forward and tell them that it is stupid and why. They can decide whether or not to listen to me, but I give my honest opinion because I care.
  4. I have a pretty big make up collection. I like collecting lipsticks and eye shadows mostly. I think it's because I'm fascinated with the colours.
  5. I don't hesitate to complain when there's a valid reason to at places like restaurants or movie theatres because of the benefits they give you to make up for it.Yes, I like to take full advantage of my customer rights. Sounds slightly evil... haha.
  6. I cut my own hair.
  7. I frequently stay up very very late playing video games... especially in the summer. Haha.
  8. I've been with my boyfriend for 5 and a half years. That length is not usually common or expected with most people my age anyway.
  9. I don't like falling asleep when it is completely dark.
  10. I can be very forgiving.

Three things you are proud of about your personality.

I always try my best to be there for others in need. I think being there for someone is more than just being available to listen to their problems. It's also taking the initiative to go to them and ask how they are doing or planning a time to hang out. That might be the thing that they need when they are going through their own struggles. Maybe they want to be left alone. Maybe they don't. Nonetheless, it shows that someone really cares.

I like how I'm an artistic person. I can't imagine how boring my life would be without art! I'd be missing out on so much.

I'm determined. If I really believe in something or have a goal I want to achieve, then I will fight for it no matter what others say.

leave me alone.

If you wanna kick me out of the house just because I was up late on a Saturday night AT HOME, I'd be more than happy to. I used to be scared of that threat when I was a kid. Now, I really don't give a shit. It's doing nothing but encouraging me to leave. You don't want me in the house? Well, neither do I!

But then again, you're such a fucking hypocrite in so many ways. When you're mad at me, you tell me that I can go do whatever I want. And then when I continue to do whatever I want, you don't like it and still won't leave me alone. Getting text messages saying "Where are you?" "Where are you?" "Where are you?" like every hour is freaking annoying and ruins my day! And really, there's no point in telling you what I'm doing and who I'm with because when I do tell you, all you'll do is question it as if it's wrong, even when it as simple as watching a movie. I am not a teenager doing stupid shit with stupid people. I don't even have ANY history of that.

I don't care if I am "really testing your patience" because I already lost patience for you a long time ago. You've never ever been truly supportive about anything in my life including my choice of study, my hobbies, and even my friends! So why should I care how you feel about me?

Living with you has been unbearable. And I want out as soon as possible.

Sorry that this rant has been extremely honest. Just needed to let it out.

Your view on drugs and alcohol.

I have never done drugs before and I am not even curious about it. I'd rather not do anything that I know will damage my body and I don't believe they are necessary to get rid of stress or other hardships.

I think alcohol is fine as long as you don't over do it. It's always fun to drink when you're with friends. I've never been completely drunk before. Maybe because I either am not drinking enough or I can tolerate it more... which is weird to say, considering I don't drink very often. But I'll never want to drink up to the point where I have to vomit. After getting the stomach flu like two years ago, I never want to throw up again!

Day Seven.
Your opinion on cheating on people.

Nothing good comes out of it.
If you cannot commit to one person, you should not be in a relationship.

Cheating is wrong, whether you are the cheater or the "other woman" (or other man, if you want to say).
It's one thing if the "other woman" doesn't know about the relationship the man already has. If that's the case, then it's all the guy's responsibility. However, I think it is DISGUSTING when the "other woman" knows about the relationship yet tries to steal the man anyway for her own selfish needs and then acts all innocent about it. That is just as sinful being the cheater, if not than worse.

I don't necessarily believe in the statement, "Once a cheater, always a cheater." I believe people can learn and change from their mistakes. But if they want forgiveness, they need to put the effort.

Don't cheat. Don't steal. No matter what, you'll never win in the end.
It's one of the worst ways you can truly damage a person.

Day Six.
The person you like and why you like them.

Well, I think it's pretty obvious who. I can go on forever with my explanation, but I'll keep it short.

I think the main thing I love about him is how kind hearted he is. Although he has done stupid things in the past that hurt me, I know that he's never had any bad intentions. He just wants to please others before himself, and it makes me so angry when people try to take advantage of that.

For some reason, calling him my "boyfriend" seems a lil degrading to me with the close relationship we've built over the years. I can tell him anything without the fear of being judged, and he's always there to comfort me in any rough times. It's come to the point where he's not just my lover, but also my best friend. And knowing that he feels the same way in return is the best feeling in the world.

This is kinda late but I'm done school as of last week!!! Wooooo!!!
I had my last exam last Monday, which was a joke... like the entire course.

My Summary of Human Development in the Arts course (aka. Teaching)

  • Learning the multiple intelligences and Piaget's stages of development... okay
  • Learning about fairytales, legends, and myths.. sure why not.
  • Learning Olympian gods...huh?
  • Knowing the all the Olympian gods and goddess and what each one symbolizes for the midterm... what? really?
  • Midterm is a joke... No surprise there.
  • CD becomes a required course material... sure, it must be some lecture or something.
  • CD turns out to be a normal music CD by an artist named Josh Young... who the fuck is that?
  • His music all sounds the same, are mostly covers of other artists' songs and has nothing to do with the course... whaaattt thhheeee f-
  • It is mandatory to buy the hard copy CD from the prof for $20 or else you will not receive your marks, even though you can get it for $10 on itunes... whoooaaa.. nonono. fuck that shit.
  • We find out that the Prof was making us buy the CDs so that the producer of the CD, who is a scientist, would guest speak. And when he does, he says that dance is not his thing, doesn't know anything about dance yet is speaking to a class with over 50 dance students... woooow, why are you here?
  • Prof says it is no longer mandatory to buy the CD after all the commotion and petitions started about how she is blackmailing students... that's right, bitch.
  •  Prof still claims that the CD is a required course material and we will need to know it for the exam... whatever.
  • One of the three questions on the exam. Incorporate two of the songs from the Josh Young CD into a dance/movement and/or drama lesson that teaches self confidence and teamwork... couldn't think of anything more creative? Stuuuupid.
I've been extremely lazy since I've been done, but I don't care because this period of nothingness feels nice.

Phone makeover.

Thursday, April 19, 2012

Recently I've been very sick with the way my phone looks. I've had the same phone for almost 3 years now and it looked just about that old with the colours scratching off and what not. And because it looked like crap, I kinda cared for it less.
Yes, I have been wanting to get a new phone (an Iphone to be exact.. hehe), but I know I won't be getting a new phone for a while so I thought I might as well try to make it prettier.

I had the idea of using nail polish which can easily turn into a hot mess. But I figured I got nothing to lose because even if I did screw up, it would probably still look better than before.

And I have to say, I'm pretty impressed with myself..

I've been getting many compliments on it too!

Reading.

I have finally started reading the Hunger Games. About time right? Remember when I meant to start like almost two years ago when not as many people knew of the series? Oh well. It sorta feels like I'm jumping on the band wagon now that everyone has been talking about the movie. But hey, I didn't bother to read Twilight when people wouldn't shut up about it :D I'm aiming to finish it before I watch the movie. It's an easy read so it's not going to take too long. I started like maybe two days ago and I'm almost half way! I've only been reading when I'm commuting and sometimes in short breaks at school too!

It's been a while since I've had time to read a novel now that I think about it. Last semester I was sorta on a roll with Murakami books! I finished Norwegian Wood, After Dark, and like half of the Wind Up Bird Chronicle... because then rehearsals kicked in and I had no more time :( I even got his new huge ass book 1Q84 when it just came out in Chapters and was 30% off maybe beginning of November-ish to read after I was done the Wind Up Bird Chronicle. I know for sure that one will take me a very very long time, but it's Murakami and I enjoy his stories, so I do not mind reading a text book sized novel that he wrote =] I know it'll be good... once I get to it... after Hunger Games... and the rest Wind Up Bird Chronicle... lulz.  So glad I was introduced to this author by Chrissstttiiine on Youtube.

And while on the topic of reading. I came across one of my journals from when I was in grade 10! I remember getting it as a gift a loooong time ago. It came with a matching pillow! I thought the cover was so fugly that I went crazy on it with nail polish in hopes it would turn kind of artsy? Still looks fugly though. Haha.
I thought I had a pretty good memory, but there were several things that I completely forgot about and others that I actually have no memory of happening. It was funny though, comparing back then to now. Mostly because it was when I started liking Bryan and was constantly reminding myself that the idea of us being 'together' is impossible and will never happen. But hey, look at us now 6 years later! Coming across this journal again has sort of pushed me to write more regularly so I can always reflect on this time in my life when I want to. It may be months or perhaps years from now, but at least it will be there.

Gaming.

I've been playing Tales of Vesperia! It's like the Tales of Symphonia games, which I loved. It's one of those really long RPGs and requires a lot of hours to complete, but I don't mind as long as there's a good story there. And there usually is when the game is that long... and made by Asians!
I'm a sucker for RPGs.

 Drawing.

I'm slightly addicted to this Draw Something app. I used to play the actual game on the OMGPOP site back then. I probably wouldn't be playing it if I didn't have friends I actually know to play with... so I can draw Bulbasaurs for no reason! Playing with randoms gets boring. If you have the app, draw me something so I can draw you back a Bulbasaur! Yayyyy....

Just as a side note, I think this whole blogger dashboard look is more confusing even though the purpose was to make it more simple and organized. I just kinda see... all white! ... which I guess is simple but it's still a little difficult for me to find things. But that's just me. I'll adapt to it eventually. And speaking of simplicity I have tweaked my layout if you haven't noticed yet and I also have been going through some of my older posts and deleting the unnecessary ones. It felt a bit cluttered... still is now, but then again I've had this blog for almost four years now! So it makes sense.

Until next time.

8/9/2008
[ Conscience. ] -- Transcend.

Sometimes I dream about us, and all we do is lay down next to each other on an open green field with our arms and legs spread wide. Where all we talk about are the shapes we see in the sky, until I realize that I don't need to fly to get closer to heaven. I just have to look at my side. I turn to you, coming slowly closer, and as you notice me doing so..you do the same. Until our lips come close and we expect something from each other. A warm kiss, a silent stare...then three soft spoken words: I love you.

Rest In Peace, Sarmad.

I feel terrible for not knowing you personally or at least knowing who you were before the accident. I heard you were a really great guy and had an amazing future ahead of you. I was never able to take note of who you were in my Human Development in the Arts class since there's about 100 of us. And I regret not being in those lectures where I heard you challenged our insane prof!

Although things were looking brighter with the warm weather, the theatre school will be gloomy for a while. My condolences go out to his family as well as the third year Acting class.

Sometimes I forget that things like this can happen at any time and any point of a person's life, no matter how young they are. I think that's one of my greatest fears.

Crap, this reading week went by WAAAAY too fast. I didn't get everything I wanted accomplished, but still I believe it was very well spent. I just got home from hanging out with the usuals and I can't help but feel depressed. Really! I sorta have that feeling when you reach the end of a really amazing anime series like Shaman King! (and I don't know why it has to be an anime. It feels more right than saying any kind of series ahah.) I guess it's because I know that starting this week a lot of hectic events and late nights at school will be happening from all the shows going on each week after another. I guess when it comes to the actual shows everything will be fun.

It's also gonna be REALLY weird because for the past week I saw Bryan like every single day for the whole day or at least half! And now it's gonna be either I don't see him, or I see him for like an hour or so, which is better than nothing I guess.
I really needed this week to just relax and feel somewhat free. Otherwise I would've gone completely insane! I probably won't feel like I have a life again until April. I won't be done school yet, but that's basically when this marathon of shows and rehearsals will end.

Le sigh.

Collar trend

Friday, February 24, 2012

I started watching Flakes today with Bryan on Netflix. We picked it mostly because Zooey Deschannel was in it! We love her! :D We're about half way through and it's not bad so far.

One of the things I've been noticing is the way she is dressed in the movie. I love her style!
This outfit caught my eye the most for various reasons...

First, I loved how vintage like her outfit is and how it suits the movie very well. I could not find a full body picture of it, but I did like the use of colour blocking with the pink dress she wore and blue tights. Then my attention went towards her collar. To me it put the whole outfit together. It reminded me about the Peter Pan collar trend that has been becoming more noticed year, and how it looks exactly like a Pearl Collar DIY I found on Pinterest that I've been wanting to do... and then I realized that this movie was made in 2007! Wow!

Usually fashion trends tend to turn me off because they get overdone and then die after a few months or so. And when the die, you look silly wearing them afterwards. But I think collars are an exception =] I think they are a classic piece and will always look cute no matter what year you wear them in. That's one of the main reasons why I do love vintage pieces because they are timeless!

This movie has definitely motivated me a bit more into making some DIY collars soon times. I haven't come across many people in person pulling them off anyway.

Can't wait to actually finish the rest of the movie now. Haha.
Until next time.

Robbed in more ways than one.

Number 1.

Today I went to a Canada's Wonderland audition for dancers for the hell of it. Mostly just to give myself more options for when after school is over. I didn't want it that desperately because it is essentially bad choreography and bad dancing. That is how it exactly was for the audition too. Bad choreography AND also bad dancers auditioning. It's sounds pretty conceited to say, but with my experience I felt like I was pretty over qualified. Even with that thought I didn't slack off or anything. However, I got cut. I basically lost to dancers could not even pick up simple choreography or even balance on a side develope at the very beginning of the routine! I was surprised and not so surprised because this is how it has been recently for some of my classmates that have been auditioning for cruises lately. Dancers with absolutely no technique getting jobs while dancers with maturity and strong technique are getting cut. It really makes me worry about where dance is going in the world -_-.

Number 2.

Afterwards, I went to watch Bryan and his friends participate in a 2 vs. 2 battle downtown at Street Dance Academy. He did really well! Him and Eric made it to the semi finals. But they really should have made it all the way to the Finals. Why? Because they lost to some guys that did not dance to the music, were not very impressive with their moves, and were just overall "okay". AND I AM NOT BEING BIASED BECAUSE BRYAN IS MY BOYFRIEND! A lot of people saw it too! Even the dudes themselves even told Bryan and Eric after the battle that they were surprised that got it and that they felt that it really should've went to them instead.

Number 3.

We all went out to eat at a Ramen place on Spadina that was closeby. We were there for less than an hour and we come back to the car only to find the passenger seat window smashed! It's really retarded because it was only 9pm-10pm and it was close to Spadina and Dundas! There were so many people and cars going by around that time still. We were parked on Spadina too, not on some random side road close to an alleyway. Thankfully most of our stuff we had in the trunk or with us inside. However, Bryan and Eric both had left their bags in the car which were both stolen. The most important things that were taken were Bryan's passport and Eric's hearing aid. Everything else in the bag were clothes and such. Bryan had one of his Nike jackets in there and also a hat for breaking. It was a really nice messenger bag of his too! Ughhh.. The only thing that was still left in the car were my pair of sneakers that I brought along with me in case I needed them for the audition... which I thought was a lil funny. The thieves were definitely guys. So we spent some time calling the police and asking nearby restaurants if they saw anything or if they can check their security cameras. There was a restaurant that did have one that would've had a perfect view of the car, but when we asked if they could check the footage they said that it's not on... Seriously? What's the fucking point in having a security camera? I really really really hope Karma gets back at these thieves and fucks them up big time T___T. I'm really thankful that nothing even more serious was left in the car like a wallet. But still...
Robbed.

Number 4.

There wasn't much we could do then after calling the police because they were closing or something like that so we decided to head back home. There was so much glass on the passenger seat that it would've been really dangerous for someone to sit there. So the four of us had to squish in the back seat. We didn't have much of a choice. We had to break the rest of the glass off the window, and ask restaurants for garbage bags and tape. One of the Chinese restaurants who knew our situation even charged us 50 cents for a bag. Wtf really???? Shortly after we left, we got pulled over by a cop because there were four of us in the backseat and we didn't have seat belts on. We explained to him our situation and showed him the glass. He just gave us a warning and told us to clean the glass off the seat and clean the ones on the floor later on because it is dangerous for us to have four passengers in the back if we got into an accident. So we brushed as much glass as we could off the seat and stacked a bunch of newspapers on it. It would've been really ridiculous if the cop did actually fine us, knowing our situation and actually witnessing it as well. Why on earth would we just have four of us crammed in the back and then an empty passenger seat?
It's just really stupid that we had to go through even more shit because of the assholes who broke in the car.
Robbed.

Yes, it was a very crappy way to end the day. However, I am still very thankful that it wasn't any worse. I'm thankful that we had most of our valuable belongings with us and that the thieves didn't get into the trunk even though they really could have after breaking the window. And most importantly, I'm thankful that all of us were physically safe. In the end, that's all that matters.

update yayyy

Sunday, February 12, 2012

Oh hi there bloggerland,

Yes, I disappeared for about a couple of months not just because of the usual "busy with school/work/social life" but mostly because I haven't had much inspiration to blog about the random things in my life. But now suddenly, I feel like getting back into it again.

So these are just random updates about my life that I just feel like throwing out there..

  • I dyed my hair for the first time in December. Not that I didn't like my natural hair colour anymore, I just wanted a change. I didn't do anything drastic of course. For a while I've been wanting to keep my hair dark but have a red/purple tint to it so I finally did it. It's very noticeable in some lighting and not so much in others. But I'm okay with that. I want to build up the colour gradually. I will probably redye it over Reading Week yayyy.

  • I've been carrying my Olympus camera a lot lately. I wanna try doing a photo a day sort of thing and for that I will maybe use my barely used Tumblr.

  • I know before I was scared of not being in school anymore because I didn't know what I'd be doing after. Even though I'm still not sure, I feel less scared because I just want OUT of school now -__-. So far this semester has just been ridiculous.

  • I need to get a new phone. Seriously, I've had the same one since Summer 2009 and it's slowly becoming effed up. It loves to receive text messages hours later and sometimes tells me that I'm getting present text messages from the future! An Iphone is sounding very good right now, but I still have to wait xP.

  • A couple of discouraging things have happened over the past couple of months, but I've been learning how to make the best of everything and I feel happier that way. I'm very thankful to have my friends who love to chill spontaneously almost everyday. They keep me happy. Bryan likes to call us the Weekenders even though I'm pretty sure I see all of them more on week nights if anything! Haha.

  • As for just me and Bryan, we are still growing together and learning about each other. It's crazy looking back at the past five years that has lead up to here. But I'm happy with where we are at n0w. I'm thankful for him the most and I feel like I don't show that enough to him.

  • Still obsessed with Pinterest (Join if you haven't already! XD)

  • Still love playing Ninjatown even though I am probably on my 4th time playing the whole game through again.

  • Other things I've recently been loving: vintage style bags, mango milk tea with small tapioca, wavy hair, watches, wearing Bryan's clothes!

Until next time.
