I learned so much in rehearsals and saw some mind blowing circus acts that were in the show as well!
I'm really sad that we didn't get the chance to take many pictures in all our costumes or see a video of our performance afterwards. We did four elemental pieces: Earth, Water, Air, and Fire. All the costumes were made wonderfully and with a low budget too. I think she said it cost only $1400 for the costumes. It sounds like a lot, but when you look at how it's for 6 dancers and each dancer had 5 costumes, it's actually really cheap for a legit dance costume.

I really wanted to keep that romper =(

Yes, this was like a LOOONG time ago but I've been busy and I didn't have my laptop for a bit. Better late than never riiight?
I was actually SO excited for Anime North because I had only gone once in grade 10 and hadn't been able to go for the next 4 years from dance competitions landing on those weekends. Boo.
So excited that I bought a weekend pass early..
So excited that I dressed up as Pikachu for the last two days!!

I felt like cosplaying but I didn't know who to go as so I picked Pikachu because all I needed to do was make a hat and wear yellow and done! I used SecretLifeOfABioNerd's tutorial on Youtube as well as this fleece hat tutorial from deviantart http://clearkid.deviantart.com/art/Fleece-Hat-Tutorial-68772035 as a reference in making my pikachu hat. It wasn't hard at all. It would've just been a lot faster if I used a sewing machine x_X Too bad I don't really have a very good one that works.
Because I hand stitched the entire thing, it wasn't done for the first day (because I started it the night before lolololol). So I just threw on a random dress and a mini top hat. Not sure what kind of look I was going for or what character I would be, but according to Andrew, I did actually look like some anime character that he knew but couldn't remember where it was from.
The whole weekend in the convention centre consisted of me walking around and around the dealer's room and the craft section being indecisive and picky about buying certain things for myself and other people... and then killing my feet. I didn't really get the chance to go to other events except for the J-Pop dance and the J-Rave because I couldn't come that early for other events for the whole weekend.
I randomly ran into one of my elective buddies at school at one of the dances though. What are the chances? It was so crowded D:

David, Mashimaro and meee.
Favourite cosplays?
- Windmill guy from Zelda Ocarina of Time
- Someone wearing a Pedobear mask under a Barney suit
I regret not taking that many pictures of the epic cosplays I saw. It's mostly because I was too lazy to take my camera out OR I was too slow in taking my camera out =( These were the only decent ones I got.
Aaaand no I'm not trying to say here that my outfit was epic by posting this one. Actually I was just there to take a pic of their epic costumes until this other guy with this huge camera told me to go and join them.
Favourite buys?
I actually didn't get too many things for myself. Most of the items I got were for my siblings and friends.
I got this shirt for Bryan from the craft area and I really like the artist's designs ...even though they are like really random creatures. The quality of the prints is really nice as well and it's all hand made I believe.

raccoon/ fox creature? :D

Me and Vernonn bought Tokidoki Marvel T Shirts for Shingo whose birthday was coming up. And there was a ton of Angry Bird merchandise, so I picked up something for my sisterrr cuz she's the greatest Angry Bird nerd I know.
Totoro backpack!!!
I don't care if I look like a lil kid. Totoro is awesome :D
Ozzyyyyyy!!!! :D Love this pic

Quite an eventful day yesterday.
Late-ish surprise (for Bryan) lunch at Panera.
Their broccoli cheddar soup is the best! Good thing I ordered while Bryan was still on the line. He gave me a full bowl. Muahaha!

Happy boy face :D ...with the name tag of course.
Bus ride downtown.
It's so easy for me to fall asleep on the GO buses - more than the trains actually.

My first expired instant photo that came out REALLY blue.

I actually had no idea that there was a Lomography store downtown until about two weeks ago. I just decided to google it to see if there was one since I've seen a lot from the Mijonju Show in different locations... and BAM! One in Toronto that opened last November! Whaaaat? Apparently it's the only one in Canada so far.
It's so awesome inside.

Another reason why I decided to go visit on that particular day is because they have Blue Hour Thursdays. And this week it was Psychic Night! So free Psychic readings yayyy. I've never had one done and it was free, so why not. I wasn't expecting too much to begin with since it was free. And I was right about it. The psychic did Tarot card readings and it was pretty general in comparison to other psychic reading stories I've heard from some of my friends that actually paid to see one.

Random picture one of the guys that worked there took during the event. Lizzeh was having her reading and I was trying to call the incredibly cute puppy! XD
It wasn't much of "This is what's going to happen to you" because it wasn't at all. It's more of an opportunity to think about the things going on in your life, what you need to do, and a reminder of what you are capable of. It's also like getting advice from someone that knows nothing about you, which I think is pretty cool. So, I totally bought my own deck of Tarot cards today lolololololol. Oh, and I totally want to get a deck of Clow Cards! XD
Anyways...
Korean bbq dinner! Yummmm...
And looks like my camera wish list increased. Whoops. x_X.
Now back to studying. Read more...
not that turning 20!

It was my birthday on the 18th! I'm 20! I'm old! Yayyyyyy....
I had quite an eventful weekend.
Saturday, my actual birthday, started off with my first day teaching tap, ballet, and jazz at my dance studio. I was very nervous at first because it was my first time teaching ballet, but everything worked out in the end. Too lazy to go in more detail about it.
I was only able to take a limited amount of pictures because I was stupid and forgot to upload all my Europe pictures so the memory card was pretty much full... and I was also stupid enough to remember last minute that I had to charge my camera and only had it plugged in for about 15 mins. So there really wasn't much battery life for me to go and delete all the unnecessary pictures to make more space. Sad face.

Hmmm.... Well, we ate... a lot. We thought we ordered too much food (like always), but we succeeded in finishing everything because we're tanks! >=] ... or whales. lolololol.

Firstly, Johnruss paid for my lunch! Thank youuuu!

Sick picture frame. My fav is the lil "LOL" at the bottom.
And my dream journal!! I can't wait to start writing in it!

Katherine thinks I smell bad... as you can see.
But now she won't be able to resist me. Muahahahahah

(Yeah, I never told him I've been wanting this for like a year)

Fail attempt to take a group picture. Squinty eyes! XD

Thanks Johnruss!!!

I THINK he passed the height requiremets
- Killed at Tank Tank Tank with Andrew and Bryan
- Failed at the racing game with everyone. Kris won T_T
- Went on the Roller Coaster thing for the second time. (First time being when I was 12? 13?) ...and then lost one of my earrings in it. Sad face.
- Reunited with DDR once again. Didn't fail so miserably. But did break the bottom of my boots =( At least it's fixable.
- Saw the "bar" at Playdium that I never knew existed before.
- Watched Quan fail miserably at Deal or No Deal, but still earned enough points to get a small plastic ring for his girlfriend. Ahah.

Playdium last Wednesday with Rheena! :D
It started off with an "i wanna go to playdium... wanna goo???" last week. Hahaha! And conveniently, Johnruss worked at Playdium and did offer me free time cards for playdium months ago that he gets every once in a while to give away to his friends. So, I thought why not?
Thank you Johnruss! You are so awesome!!!! XD

The first game we played was the huge ass racing game (don't know the real name obviously) that I remember always being last or close to last in the past. But to my surprise, I actually won first!!! XD As soon as I won, all these guys looked at me and had this look that pretty much said "Oh shit. I just got beaten by a girl."
I also played Dance Dance Revolution, which I actually haven't played since high school because someone
The last game that is worth mentioning (mostly because I has awesome pictures >=]) is the Tank Tank Tank! It's actually SOOOOO much fun! It combined driving AND shooting, which were the types of games we mostly played throughout the two hours. We wouldn't have really seen it or played it if Johnruss hadn't mentioned it to us. The best part was that it takes your photo that ends up being your icon for that game!

Wasn't able to get a nicer pic of Rheena's picture because the screen would change quickly!

The only reason we left is because there were two asians waiting behind us that we just noticed after our third game? They looked pretty impatient o_o Ahhh...
And since it was still pretty early after our two hours of racing and shooting things, we decided to loaft around Square One for another hour and a half. Taking more Mac pictures was a given. We took a lot of pictures with the "glowing" effect because it nicely hides all the obvious craters in our faces. Very obvious.

We probably would've taken more pictures if one of the older sales associated hadn't kicked like EVERYONE off the Macs who seemed to be just taking pictures or on the internet because apparently the store was "getting too full"... which it wasn't. I've seen it more packed, especially in the Eaton Center. Maybe she was just jealous just because she has no friends to take Mac pictures with and just bashes on everyone that does? lololololol. Jokes.
Good times.
