This is kinda late but I'm done school as of last week!!! Wooooo!!!
I had my last exam last Monday, which was a joke... like the entire course.

My Summary of Human Development in the Arts course (aka. Teaching)

  • Learning the multiple intelligences and Piaget's stages of development... okay
  • Learning about fairytales, legends, and myths.. sure why not.
  • Learning Olympian gods...huh?
  • Knowing the all the Olympian gods and goddess and what each one symbolizes for the midterm... what? really?
  • Midterm is a joke... No surprise there.
  • CD becomes a required course material... sure, it must be some lecture or something.
  • CD turns out to be a normal music CD by an artist named Josh Young... who the fuck is that?
  • His music all sounds the same, are mostly covers of other artists' songs and has nothing to do with the course... whaaattt thhheeee f-
  • It is mandatory to buy the hard copy CD from the prof for $20 or else you will not receive your marks, even though you can get it for $10 on itunes... whoooaaa.. nonono. fuck that shit.
  • We find out that the Prof was making us buy the CDs so that the producer of the CD, who is a scientist, would guest speak. And when he does, he says that dance is not his thing, doesn't know anything about dance yet is speaking to a class with over 50 dance students... woooow, why are you here?
  • Prof says it is no longer mandatory to buy the CD after all the commotion and petitions started about how she is blackmailing students... that's right, bitch.
  •  Prof still claims that the CD is a required course material and we will need to know it for the exam... whatever.
  • One of the three questions on the exam. Incorporate two of the songs from the Josh Young CD into a dance/movement and/or drama lesson that teaches self confidence and teamwork... couldn't think of anything more creative? Stuuuupid.
I've been extremely lazy since I've been done, but I don't care because this period of nothingness feels nice.

Zzzzzz....

Phone makeover.

Thursday, April 19, 2012

Recently I've been very sick with the way my phone looks. I've had the same phone for almost 3 years now and it looked just about that old with the colours scratching off and what not. And because it looked like crap, I kinda cared for it less.
Yes, I have been wanting to get a new phone (an Iphone to be exact.. hehe), but I know I won't be getting a new phone for a while so I thought I might as well try to make it prettier.

I had the idea of using nail polish which can easily turn into a hot mess. But I figured I got nothing to lose because even if I did screw up, it would probably still look better than before.

And I have to say, I'm pretty impressed with myself..

I've been getting many compliments on it too!
Still looks a lil sloppy when you look at it closely. But it will do =]

Reading.

I have finally started reading the Hunger Games. About time right? Remember when I meant to start like almost two years ago when not as many people knew of the series? Oh well. It sorta feels like I'm jumping on the band wagon now that everyone has been talking about the movie. But hey, I didn't bother to read Twilight when people wouldn't shut up about it :D I'm aiming to finish it before I watch the movie. It's an easy read so it's not going to take too long. I started like maybe two days ago and I'm almost half way! I've only been reading when I'm commuting and sometimes in short breaks at school too!

It's been a while since I've had time to read a novel now that I think about it. Last semester I was sorta on a roll with Murakami books! I finished Norwegian Wood, After Dark, and like half of the Wind Up Bird Chronicle... because then rehearsals kicked in and I had no more time :( I even got his new huge ass book 1Q84 when it just came out in Chapters and was 30% off maybe beginning of November-ish to read after I was done the Wind Up Bird Chronicle. I know for sure that one will take me a very very long time, but it's Murakami and I enjoy his stories, so I do not mind reading a text book sized novel that he wrote =] I know it'll be good... once I get to it... after Hunger Games... and the rest Wind Up Bird Chronicle... lulz.  So glad I was introduced to this author by Chrissstttiiine on Youtube.

And while on the topic of reading. I came across one of my journals from when I was in grade 10! I remember getting it as a gift a loooong time ago. It came with a matching pillow! I thought the cover was so fugly that I went crazy on it with nail polish in hopes it would turn kind of artsy? Still looks fugly though. Haha.
I thought I had a pretty good memory, but there were several things that I completely forgot about and others that I actually have no memory of happening. It was funny though, comparing back then to now. Mostly because it was when I started liking Bryan and was constantly reminding myself that the idea of us being 'together' is impossible and will never happen. But hey, look at us now 6 years later! Coming across this journal again has sort of pushed me to write more regularly so I can always reflect on this time in my life when I want to. It may be months or perhaps years from now, but at least it will be there.

Gaming.

I've been playing Tales of Vesperia! It's like the Tales of Symphonia games, which I loved. It's one of those really long RPGs and requires a lot of hours to complete, but I don't mind as long as there's a good story there. And there usually is when the game is that long... and made by Asians!
I'm a sucker for RPGs.

 Drawing.

I'm slightly addicted to this Draw Something app. I used to play the actual game on the OMGPOP site back then. I probably wouldn't be playing it if I didn't have friends I actually know to play with... so I can draw Bulbasaurs for no reason! Playing with randoms gets boring. If you have the app, draw me something so I can draw you back a Bulbasaur! Yayyyy....

Just as a side note, I think this whole blogger dashboard look is more confusing even though the purpose was to make it more simple and organized. I just kinda see... all white! ... which I guess is simple but it's still a little difficult for me to find things. But that's just me. I'll adapt to it eventually. And speaking of simplicity I have tweaked my layout if you haven't noticed yet and I also have been going through some of my older posts and deleting the unnecessary ones. It felt a bit cluttered... still is now, but then again I've had this blog for almost four years now! So it makes sense.

Until next time.
