Clubbing... with the familyyyy

Warning: This post is picture heavy

So I went clubbing for the second time with my cousins(again lol). It was my first time going to a club in Toronto though! I wasn't too sure what to expect. Like, I went clubbing in LA, and I didn't think it was that great. I was more excited this time around because I guess I knew a lot more people going. It was for Christian's 19th party and I swear he knows everyone! ... which is why I was often known as "Christian's cousin" for a while in high school x_X.

I wasn't planning on going initially because I wasn't even sure if my parents would be okay with it even though I'm legal and also because my first time clubbing wasn't AMAZING or anything. At my New Years party, Christian and Lylline asked me if I was going, but I said I wasn't sure and that I was actually scared to ask my mom, so they just asked her for me! LOL She couldn't possibly say no because first of all, some of my other older cousins would be there and second, she can't say no in front of the whole family and seem too strict! XD

I already had an outfit appropriate for clubbing so I didn't freak out because I didn't have anything to wear. I actually have A LOT of things that would be appropriate. How? Dance costumes. Tutus? No. Corsets =] I have some fancy ones that I pretty much haven't worn since I performed in them. But yeah, from what I remember I should have at least 6 corsets that were costumes from the past 3 years.
But no, I didn't wear a corset though. I ended up wearing this dress that I bought maybe after exams were over. I got it at the store called Katie, which actually has a lot of branches throughout Toronto. The one I went to was on Queen and I know there is another one in Chinatown and at least three more down Yonge street. Everything in the store was 35% off so I just decided to go in and check it out. The dress was on one of the mannequins in the store and what really caught my eye was the back the dress. It had an open back. I love love outfits with open backs, especially low ones. I don't know why! Ahah. I thought it was unique, well worth its price, and would be good for clubbing so I got it even though I didn't know the next time I'd go clubbing. I also wore this military style jacket that I got from Forever 21 to go over it because I knew I'd be cold getting there and I wasn't planning on taking my winter jacket with me. I love military style jackets!

Model face time.

You can barely tell the jacket apart from the dress XD

Camwhoring in the washroom with laptop webcam
in front of my colourful shower curtains yayyyy!!!

So the next night, everyone who was taking the limo with Christian met at his house, which were all the cousins who were going and some of his friends. His other friends that were going just met up with us at the club. I'm pretty sure Christian already got drunk in the limo LOL. He drank lot. I drank a bit in the limo, mainly because Lylline made me! I honestly didn't like the taste of anything she gave me though D:

We all left our winter jackets at his place or in the limo. So I pretty much was outside in my outfit and heels, when it was colder than - 20 degrees and windy too!! x_X. All the girls pretty much died outside when we had to walk to the entrance of the club and wait for a bit, all because we did not want to pay for coat check =] yayyyy. I was so happy that I brought my military jacket even though it was thin. But my legs were frozen for sure. We didn't wait too long outside because the club was just opening and we were going through the VIP entrance.

The club we went to was Guvernment. I didn't know how many rooms they had there but from reading a couple of descriptions of the rooms I pretty sure we were in The Drink.

An elegant second-level bar, lined by mirrors. Originally known as the Guvernment's VIP club, it's still a place for well-dressed, mature clientele. Patrons of this room also have access to the main room and the rooftop patio. Friday nights hold Commercial R&B and House and on Saturdays, House and Progressive.

Because it just opened, we could see the entire room, which was very fancy. I noticed that there was a wall of doors at the end of the room and I saw some people going in and out of it. I decided to check it out along with Sarah. When we went through the doors, we were on a second level balcony, and down below was the main room which was MASSIVE. I thought there was no way that the whole room could be completely filled. I wasn't really aware of the other rooms so I didn't explore more.

Bad quality picture. I know. This was not even half the floor space.

We got a sorta group photo taken by the club photographer who put all the photos up on the website. 'Sorta' because none of my cousins except Christian was in the shot. Still a nice picture though.

Lylline made me drink again! D: Actually she made everyone have a bit because the bottles were expensive so she wanted to make sure that we drank all of it. I don't remember what drink we had but I remember it tasting like crap XD To be honest, I only kept drinking the juice or soda they give you when you get a booth because it tasted good... at least I think it was juice.

The room got PACKED after a while. There was still enough room to dance of course so it didn't really bother me. It's more exciting when there's a lot of people anyway. I decided to go look back at the main room and the entire room was even more packed! I swear they were all like shoulder to shoulder. I didn't wanna be in the middle of that crowd at all. It seemed WAY too claustrophobic for me XD

There were of course creepers and random guys asking you to dance with them. Not as many as LA though! Ahah. There was this one really creepy old man who was trying to dance behind this girl who was already making out with her boyfriend. I don't even know if she or her boyfriend noticed him or not! This asian guy actually bought a drink for Sarah, but when she tried to leave him, he kept following her around! Ahhhhh.

Christian was probably the funniest in all the pictures I got throughout the night. He was soo drunk!

This one is my fav! LOL

Surprisingly, I had sooo much more fun than I did in LA! What's up with that? The main reason is because they played better music! They played all these popular pop and house songs from now and from years ago that were great songs to dance to. I ended up downloading most of the songs later on. Couple examples are Took the Night by Chelly and Paparazzi by Lady Gaga... that's actually all I can remember right now. lawl. Maybe for the last hour we were there, they just kept playing black music, which weren't as fun to dance to, to be honest. It was very ironic that at that time it got more crowded and all these black people came out of nowhere. I wasn't the only one who noticed though! Then I looked at the DJ and it was black guy. I remember the DJ before was white. I probably sound so racist right now D:
Bad Chantee! Bad!

It was okay though because we had to leave soon after and we were all just sitting down at the booth. We were all sorta dead by then.

After clubbing, the limo took us all back to Christian's. We were starving though, so just the family members except Christian went to Denny's! Yummm.

I had the ultimate omelette, which was very good. But IHOP will always be the best! XD

Until next time.

peace, love and lol.
